  • Visit the official website of the Income Tax Department of India dedicated to PAN services i.e., NSDL or UTIITSL
  • Now, Choose the ‘Reprint of PAN card’ option as you are applying for a duplicate card
  • After clicking on the Reprint of PAN Card, you’ll have to fill out the field with details like PAN Card, Aadhaar card, Month of birth, etc.
  •  Upload the required documents such as proof of identity, address, and date of birth, along with a copy of the FIR if applicable for a lost PAN card
  • Now, Pay the applicable fee for the duplicate PAN card through online payment modes available on the portal
  • An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number which you’ll have to enter
  • After entering the OTP, your application will be submitted and you’ll receive the dup-plicate PAN card dispatched to your registered address

The following are the steps that you are required to follow to apply for a duplicate PAN Card offline-

  • Download Form 49A (for individuals) or Form 49AA (for foreign nationals) from the official Income Tax Department website
  • Now, fill in the required details accurately in BLOCK LETTERS using black ink with details like name, PAN card number, Aadhaar card, etc.
  • After filling out the application form, you’ll have to attach the supporting documents including proof of identity, address, date of birth, and a copy of the FIR for a lost PAN card.
  • Submit the completed form along with the supporting documents to the nearest UTIITSL or NSDL office or by Post
  • You’ll have to pay for the duplication PAN card as well which you can do by online payment, or Demand Draft, etc.
