Through Customer Care Number
Canara Bank customers can call on Canara Bank’s customer toll free care number 1800 425 0018 for getting their Debit Card blocked. The customer care representative will ask for the details like Debit card number or account holder’s information. The toll free number could be called from all the network operators across the country.
Through SMS
Canara Bank customers can also block their Debit card also by sending an SMS. Customers only need to send an SMS to 5607060 in the following format:
CAN HOTLISTDC XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX*
and send it to 5607060.
*XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX will be the 16 digits of your Canara Bank ATM cum Debit Card number.
Example: CAN HOTLISTDC 1234567897654321 and send the SMS to 5607060
The customer should make sure he receives confirmatory SMS. If not received confirmation SMS, he should try another way.
Through Net banking
Canara Bank customers can log in to Canara Bank’s official website. You can use the net banking service to block your Debit card. After successful sign-in, customer need to click on Request tab then click on the Hotlist button.
After verifying your ATM card and transaction password click on Submit.
Your request will be accepted by the bank and the account holder will get a reference number also.
By Visiting the Branch
Canara Bank’s Debit card can also be blocked by informing the branch executives. You can give all the details mandatory and they will block it.
But it is always best to use the above services first. Because branch can’t help if you lose your card in night. Also be aware of the timings and working days of the bank.
