SBI Credit Card Lost

If your SBI Credit Card has been lost, you have to immediately block your SBI card. You can block your SBI card using various means like sending an SMS, calling on customer care, etc.

Now, in case your card has been stolen or your wallet gets missing from your pocket, you should also file an FIR to your nearest police station.

Banks have a zero liability policy for lost or stolen cards and therefore, it is extremely important for your to immediately block your card when you notice the card has been missing.

SBI Debit Card Lost

If you’ve lost your SBI debit card, you are immediately required to block the card. You can use net banking, mobile banking, or SMS banking facility to block the SBI debit card.

After blocking the card, you can simply apply for an SBI debit card online or visit the nearest bank branch and submit an application form for a new SBI debit card.

What to do If My Card has been used?

SBI Bank secures any misuse of ATM cards by using various security measures like Two-factor authentication and PIN-based payment process.

It is advised to not share your ATM card PIN with anyone also, for the online transactions you’ll receive an OTP on your mobile device, therefore, keep it safe as well and you have to ensure, there is no unauthorized access for both your mobile device and card.

If there has been an invalid transaction done using your card, you must register a complaint in SBI and also report an FIR to your nearest police station.

The further payment recovery process would be done by the banks and if you get an unsatisfactory response from the bank, you can then escalate your complaint to the RBI.

Apply for New SBI Credit Card

You can apply for a new SBI credit card by using various methods like mobile banking, Net banking, or by visiting the bank branch and filling an application form requesting a new credit card.

The easiest method of applying for a new SBI credit card is online-Mobile Banking or Net banking. The following are the methods using which you can apply for a new SBI Credit Card-

Using SBI Card App

  • Log into your SBI Cards mobile banking account using your login credentials
  • After logging in, click on the menu tab followed by clicking on the service request button
  • Now, a new window will appear here, click on the “Reissue/Replace Card”
  • Now select the card number which you want to get reissued followed by clicking on the “Submit” button
  • Your new credit card request has been initiated and your new credit card will be sent to your home within 7 working days

Using SBI Card Net Banking

  • Log into your SBI Cards Net banking account using your login credentials
  • After logging in, click on the ‘Request” button
  • Now, a new window will appear here, click on the “Reissue/Replace Card”
  • Now select the card number which you want to get reissued followed by clicking on the “Submit” button
  • Your new credit card request has been initiated and your new credit card will be sent to your home within 7 working days

Apply for New SBI Debit Card

You can apply for a new SBI debit card by using various methods like mobile banking, Net banking, or by visiting the bank branch and filling an application form requesting a new card.

The easiest method of applying for a new SBI debit card is online-Mobile Banking or Net banking. The following are the methods using which you can apply for a new SBI debit Card-

Using SBI YONO App

  • Log into your SBI YONO app using your login credentials
  • Now, from the dashboard click on the ATM/Debit card button followed by entering Internet banking profile password
  • Now, a new screen will appear with many options related to the debit card, you have to click on the Request New/Replacement button
  • Now, select the debit card account followed by Name, type of card, address, etc.
  • An OTP will be sent to your mobile device which you have to enter in the field
  • Your request for the new card will be processed and you’ll receive your new SBI Debit card vis post within 7 working days

Using SBI Net Banking

  • Log into your SBI Net Banking account using your login credentials
  • Now, from the menu click on the e-Services tab followed by clicking on the ATM/Debit Card Services
  • A new page will appear, here you have to click on the Request New/Replacement button
  • Now, select the debit card account followed by Name, type of card, address, etc. followed by clicking on the submit button
  • You’ll now have to option either OTP Based or profile password-based confirmation, you can choose either of the methods both will work
  • After successful confirmation, Your request for the new card will be processed and you’ll receive your new SBI Debit card vis post within 7 working days

After you’ve received a new ATM card, you are required to generate SBI ATM PIN to activate the card and to use it.
