The following are the steps that you have to follow to retrieve your Aadhaar Card online-

Log in to the official UIDAI website at https://uidai.gov.in.

At the top left-hand corner, click on the drop-down menu “My Aadhaar”.

Scroll down the list of options. Choose “Retrieve Lost or Forgotten EID/UID”.

A new page will open up. You are given two selection choices- “Aadhaar No (UID)” and “Enrolment No (EID)”. Select the option “Aadhaar No (UID)”.

Now enter your complete name. Next, enter either your associated email address or the linked mobile number. Lastly, enter the projected Captcha Verification. Press the button “Send OTP”.

You will get an OTP or a TOTP on your selected option.

Enter the 6 digits OTP or 8 digit TOTP and enter the “Login” button.

The Aadhaar number will be sent to both the linked mobile number and also to your registered email address.

Once you get your Aadhaar number, you can download a regular or masked version of your Aadhaar. This would be as valid as the original Aadhaar letter.

Steps to Retrieve Aadhaar Card Offline by Visiting Enrollment Center

The following are the steps that you have to follow to retrieve your Aadhaar Card offline-

  • Visit the nearest Aadhaar enrollment center
  • Now, the enrollment personnel will handover a form which you have to fill correctly. In this form, you’ll be asked about name, age, Date of birth, address, etc.
  • After submitting your form, the enrollement personnel will examin your biometric details like fingerprint and iris scan.
  • After this process, the representaitve will provide you with your Aadhaar Number also, you can take a print out of your Aadhaar Number by paying the fee.
