  • The very first step is to locate the nearest gas agency to your new home location. You can do online research or ask your neighbors to locate the gas agency
  • After locating the gas agency, you’ll have to collect the Gas regulator from your existing connection and carry it with you to the agency address
  • Now, collect all the documents mentioned below and visit the existing Gas agency and submit the documents there. Also, make sure to carry an original copy of all the documents and Xerox copies as well
  • After that, you’ll have to write a letter to the new gas agency requesting for new gas connection. Make sure to mention the customer number, present address, and the new gas agency’s address
  • Now, visit the present gas agency and submit all the documents to the agency, the agency will process your request and provide you with a gas transfer voucher which you’ll have to submit to your new gas agency
  • Along with this, you’ll have to provide address proof of the new resident i.e., Rent Agreement/lease/Sales Deed, etc. along with KYC documents
  • After the submission, you’ll receive a new connection gas voucher along with a newly issued CA number which you can use for booking and using the gas connection

How to Transfer Ownership of PNG Pipeline Connection?

The following are the steps that you’ll have to follow to transfer the ownership of the PNG pipeline Connection-

  • For the ownership transfer due to the purchase of a new house, you’ll have to submit the ownership transfer request to the IGL office
  • All you have to do is to fill out the ownership transfer form and attach the NOC (Type-A, B, or C) along with other documents mentioned below and post it using speed post to the IGL office address

Documents Required for the Ownership Transfer Request

The following are the documents that you’ll need to transfer the ownership of the IGL Gas pipeline-

Purchase of Property

  • IGL Form (PNG Ownership Transfer Form), duly filled & signed (on front & back)
  • ID proof like Aadhar Card, Voter ID, PAN Card, Driving License, Passport
  • NOC (TYPE-A) on Rs. 100/- Stamp paper duly Notarized
  • Ownership Proof (Any one) Copy of Registered Sale deed/ Registered Conveyance Deed/Registered GPA (First 6 Pages) or Copy of Electricity Bill Latest (Not more than 3 months old) from Authorized Electricity DISCOM i.e. BSES/TPDDL/NPCL etc. (Bill issued by Society shall not be accepted)

Absence of NOC from the previous owner    

  • IGL Form (PNG Ownership Transfer Form), duly filled & signed (on front & back)
  • ID proof like Aadhar Card, Voter ID, PAN Card, Driving License, Passport,
  • NOC (TYPE-B) on Rs. 100/- Stamp paper duly Notarized,
  • Ownership Proof: – Court order copy (Clear title mentioned in order), Auction letter from the authorized authority

Death of existing PNG Connection holder/ Inheritance of property / Succession

  • IGL Form (PNG Ownership Transfer Form), duly filled & signed (on front & back)
  • ID proof like Aadhar Card, Voter ID, PAN Card, Driving License, Passport,
  • NOC (Type-C) on Rs. 100 stamp paper duly notarized,
  • Death certificate of existing PNG connection holder,
  • Copy “Registered Will”, (Non-Registered Will shall not be accepted) OR Copy of Registered Relinquishment Deed.
  • For Multiple legal heirs in the registered will, NOC is required from other legal heirs on Rs. 100 stamp paper duly notarized.
