Almost all banks have net banking and mobile banking services for the customers. Indian bank also offers a net banking facility for their customers and Indian Bank Mobile Banking. You can apply for a net banking facility using offline means only and for that, you have to visit the bank premises where you have opened your bank account.

The following are the step by step instructions for applying for Indian Bank Net Banking-

  • Visit your nearest Indian Bank branch and ask for Internet banking application form
  • After getting the internet banking application form, fill the form with correct details like name, mobile number, account number, etc.
  • Make sure you have ticked the checkbox with Internet Banking, Phone Banking, and Mobile Banking for activating the services
  • Now, submit the form to the bank representative and attach a verification ID like Aadhaar card or PAN Card along
  • Your application form will be reviewed by the representative and he/she will ask for your original Identification card which you’ll have to show
  • After reviewing of the application form, your application will be forwarded to the bank-end verification
  • After verification has completed and you’ve got the approval, within seven working days you’ll receive your activation PIN via Post
  • After receiving the activation PIN, you can access your net banking account after activating it

Activate Net banking for Indian Bank Accounts

The following are the step by step instructions for activating Indian Bank Net Banking-

  • To activate the net banking, visit the official net banking portal of Indian Bank
  • Now, click on the “Login using net banking” button followed by clicking on “New Users”
  • After clicking on new user, a from will appear where you have to enter your CIF Number or A/C number, Name, Mobile number, etc.
  • An OTP will be sent to your mobile number which you have to enter for verification
  • After OTP verification is completed, you have to enter the Login password that you’ve received vis post also set a new password for your account in this step
  • After you’ve entered the login password, you’ll have to select a secret question that will be used in case you’ve forgotten the password
  • Now, you have two option to activate your net banking account-
    • Activate through Branch
    • Activate through ATM Card
  • You can select either, however, the best and fastest method to activate your account is using ATM card
  • Now, agree to the terms and conditions of the bank by clicking on the agree checkbox followed by clicking on the confirm button
  • You’ll be redirected towards an ATM card details page where you’ve to enter the ATM card details
  • After entering the ATM card details, click on the submit button
  • Now, you activate can take at max 24 hours after which you’ll be notified about the activation via SMS
  • After activation, you can login to your net banking facility using your User ID and Password
  • Now, after the first-time login, you’ll have to enter the transaction password as well followed by clicking on the submit button. Make sure it is different from the login password
  • After setting the transaction password, you’ll be logged out of the account, you can login using the same method and this time you can access your net banking account easily

What to Do If I Forgot Password?

If you’ve forgotten the password of your account then you can reset your password using the following methods-

  • Visit the official net banking portal of Indian Bank
  • Now enter your User Id, solve the captcha and clicking on the login button
  • After clicking on the button, you’ll have to click on the forgot the password button
  • Now, select the mode of reset for which you have two option i.e. ATM Card or Secret Question
  • Now, enter the User ID on the next step followed by mobile number and click on the confirm button
  • An OTP will be sent on your registered mobile number which you’ll have to enter
  • After entering the OTP, click on the submit button
  • Now, enter the ATM card details like ATM card number, PIN and Expiry Date, etc. followed by clicking on the submit button
  • Now, you’ll be provided with new password creation facility. Enter your new password and click on the confirm button
  • After clicking on the confirm button, you’ll be notified about password reset
  • You can now use the new password created to login to your net banking account
